Cala Fontanelles: one of the best beaches in Menorca

Cala Fontanelles: one of the best beaches in Menorca
Cala Fontanelles is a small beach in Spain that is part of Ciutadella in Menorca. It is one of those ideal places to leave good memories, enjoying the sun and its tranquillity, as it is not visited by a large number of people, compared to other areas of the country. If you want to discover an uncrowded area, even in high season, this beach will be perfect for you. It is an isolated cove with good bathing waters and it is called ANEI, that is to say, a natural area of special interest. Ses Fontanelles is an unspoilt cove surrounded by calm, crystal-clear waters, making it an excellent alternative for spending a few days away from the stress of everyday life.

How to get to Cala Fontanelles?

This beach is located in the northwest of the coast of Menorca and it is a U-shaped cove closed by Punta Blanca on the west side and by Punta D’enmig on the east. You can reach this cove via Tancats beach, a journey that will take you 20 minutes from one place to the other. It is also possible to find it by private car by following the signs to Algaiarens, then leave it there and continue walking. Additionally there are options such as public transport, via line 62 from Ciutadella.
